Before writing a CV, there is one question that matters more than any other:
“What role am I actually targeting?”
Many CVs fail because they try to position someone for multiple different types of roles.
For example:
- strategist
- marketing specialist
- consultant
- financial wizard
- transformation leader
- product expert
Trying to be everything usually means recruiters struggle to understand where you fit.
The strongest CVs do one thing well:
They make it obvious what role the person should be hired for.
Clarity creates opportunity.
Confusion creates silence.
